#Ottawa Concert News

Happy (belated) new year everyone!  We’re now at that special time of year where it’s too cold out for me to motivate myself into a night of live music so my posts will be mainly focused on recent event announcements.  This time there is some bad news and some good news.

The bad news is Nikki Yanofsky has cancelled a number of her tour dates, including her January stop in Ottawa.  I sure hope she can reschedule soon as I was really looking forward to see her again.

The good news includes the recent announcement of the 27th Annual Ottawa Rythm & Blues festival at Irenes on Jan 30 & 31. The excellent lineup includes performances by The Maria Hawkins Band, The Jesse Greene Band, a Honkin Blues Jam including Rocket Rached & The Fat City 8, Tony D, Drew Nelson and many more.

On another event note, the newly created Neat in the Woods that is being held in Burnstown on Sep 25-27th is starting to release their lineup.  So far Bright Light Social Hour have been confirmed on Friday, September 25th at 7pm,  Monkeyjunk is playing on Saturday Sept 26th at 7pm and Blackie and the Rodeo Kings are playing Sunday Sept 27th at 8pm.  I also noticed they will be running shuttles to/from Ottawa so you can attend the shows without fighting traffic and searching for parking.
