More Announcements

In case you missed it, both the Shenkman Arts Centre and Centrepoint Theatres announced their fall lineup this week.  Highlights for me include Randy Bachman‘s Vinyl Tap tour on October 22nd at Centrepointe, The Powder Blues on November 1st at Centrepointe and Jarvis Church at Shenkman on November 27th,

In other news this week, Dragonboat Festival announced their opening night June 19th lineup which includes Stars, Zolas and Claude Munson & The Storm Outside.  Also, NAC announced that Jann Arden will be playing a concert on September 25th.

Not to be left behind, Jazz Festival announced Colin James as the June 21st Main Stage Headliner as well as the lineup for the brand new Laurier Avenue Canadian Stage.

And for something new, on Saturday June 7th the inaugural aVibe Music and Arts Festival will take place at Vincent Massey Park and includes Reggae bands including  local favourites Tympanic and Les Mosquitoes, House of David Gang and Turn Style (both from Toronto), and headliner Slowcoaster (Sydney NS).

Last but not least, the July 12th Hope Volleyball Summerfest concert lineup has been released and it includes Finding Chuck, Precise Kenny Creole with Blakdenim, The Cardboard Crowns, Mad Anthony, The Glorious Sons and Matthew Good to close it out.

Still to come are the announcements for Tulip Festival, the closing day of Dragonboat Festival, Festival Franco-Ontarien (which may include Marie-Mai) and much more.  It’s going to be a busy summer!
